My paintings for me are a metaphor for the human soul and the relationship we have with the void. So is the relationship between the texture and the monochrome key to dynamic of the painting? The void that is created in the monochrome creates energy, a tension a space for the viewer to dive into the painting. The tension is generated by a push and pull motion, a platform maybe to reach the notion of the sublime.
